Though I’m always reminded of this shitshow every time I try to tele to foundation and get the “this will incur a fee because your authenticator is not activated” notification.FFXIV Discussion is a place to talk about the video game Final Fantasy XIV.ĥ - NSFW content modded or otherwise isn't allowed, the sub is here to provoke discussion, not boners.Ħ - Don't be an asshole. I promptly removed the authenticator, and thankfully haven’t had the issue in years. I was stuck in an endless loop, one which took a full day for customer service to fix - even though they acknowledged they were aware of this sort of issue. So my authenticator needed a password, and to get a password I needed the authenticator. Fair enough, except the reset password process also logged me out of my authenticator. I started the usual reset password process, which required an authenticator passcode too. for about a month, until the dreaded lock out happened again. The end solution was to download a two step Authenticator. After hours of troubleshooting and attempting to get help from their support team - something which I’m sure most of you know, is not a pleasant experience. For whatever reason, I was continually being locked out of my own account when trying to log in after being dc’d. I remember having some severe problems when logging in via PS3, and later, PS4. Security in general seems to be an issue. At this rate it will take almost a week to spend the Crysta I planned to spend on virtual gifts. If you had blocked the initial purchase of Crysta I would understand, but it is unacceptable to be locked into a website currency and be restricted on how often I can spend it. I don't think I'm the only one who finds this backward. You allow the debiting of real money but prevent the spending of SE currency in the name of protecting my account. I waited 24 hours before trying my transaction again as suggested, and I was able to make two purchases before being locked out again with the i2501 error. I reached out to your support staff and got what I assume was a copy and paste response describing what triggers this error (none of the conditions being applicable to me) as it matched the support entry on the error word for word. I then went to spend the Crysta and on my first purchase received the i2501 error which prevented the purchase. Your system permitted me to purchase all this Crysta, therefore, taking my money and converting it to currency only usable on your website. Last night I purchased a large amount, multiple transactions worth since the amount is capped, of Crysta with the intention of handing out Christmas presents to a long list of game friends. It is generating way too many false positives (especially during a busy holiday period), and not even protecting my account. Please do something about the Mog Station i2501 error that according to your support team is intended to protect accounts. Your DEVs seem to mention Reddit more than the official forum so I shall post my feedback here.
